Which payroll systems does ZEP integrate with?

ZEP offers direct integrations with DATEV (LODAS & Lohn & Gehalt), Lexware, and SAP. Additionally, you can export data in Excel, CSV, and XML formats for any other payroll system.

Can I connect ZEP to our HR system?

Yes. ZEP integrates with Personio and HRworks for bidirectional sync of employee master data, absences, and working hours. For other HR systems, our REST API provides full access.

How does Single Sign-On (SSO) work?

ZEP supports SSO via Google Workspace, Microsoft Azure AD, Okta, Keycloak, OAuth 2.0, and LDAP. Employees log in with their existing company credentials — no separate ZEP password required.

Is there a REST API for custom integrations?

Yes. ZEP provides a fully documented REST API with JSON responses, token-based authentication, and rate limiting. You can read and write time entries, projects, employees, and more.

How long does it take to set up an integration?

Standard integrations (DATEV, Personio, SSO) are typically live within a few days. Complex setups like SAP or custom API integrations may take 1–2 weeks. Our team supports you throughout.

Is data transfer secure?

All integrations use TLS 1.3 encryption. API access is token-based with granular scopes. Every data transfer is logged in the audit trail. All servers are ISO 27001 certified and located in Germany.
